Shinde and the 39 MLAs, who raised a rebellion in the Shiv Sena, had last year blamed Ajit Pawar, as the then finance minister, of not allocating funds for their constituencies. Moreover, they had blamed the NCP for trying to destroy the Shiv Sena.

Opposition parties' meeting in Bengaluru postponed
The proposed second meeting of non-BJP opposition parties, scheduled to be held at Bengaluru on July 13 and 14, has been postponed. The next date is yet to be decided. Confirming the development, JD(U) chief spokesperson K C Tyagi told TOI on Sunday that the Bengaluru meeting has been postponed. “Hopefully, the next meeting (of Opposition parties) will be convened after the monsoon session of the Parliament,” Tyagi said.
