Nitish Kumar apologises amid row over sex remarks
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar faced backlash for his explicit remarks in the assembly, prompting an apology from him. Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized Kumar for his choice of words and accused him of insulting women. The BJP demanded Kumar's resignation, questioning his eligibility to hold office due to his "memory loss." While some politicians supported Kumar, others, including Union Power Minister R.K. 'This has been the best ODI knock I’ve seen in my life: Tendulkar
With 12 points and one match remaining, Australia secured their spot in the last four alongside India (with 16 points) and South Africa (with 12 points). In contrast, the incredibly talented Afghanistan team, which had come close to extending their fairy tale, found themselves on the wrong side of the result. The knock at Wankhede, considering the match situation, might be hailed as one of the greatest in ODI cricket when history reflects upon it. Perhaps, it could serve as the spark Australia need in their quest for a sixth World Cup title.

In a first, scientists see viruses cling to each other
Scientists have made a groundbreaking discovery where one virus attached itself to another, as observed in bacteriophage viruses. This unique event involved a satellite virus attaching itself to a helper virus, a phenomenon that has never been seen before. The attachment occurred at the 'neck' of the virus, where the outer shell of the helper virus connects to its tail. This remarkable discovery was made possible through the use of an electron microscope. The findings were published in the Journal of the International Society for Microbial Ecology.

The conflict between Israel and Gaza has led to restrictions on freedom of expression, with many institutions dealing with members who feel strongly about the conflict.
